I want to cancel sports. Obvious why, plus they just keep putting it up
Can’t remove packs online and can’t speak to anyone either.
Apparently because of the virus they’re short staffed. How convenient.

Seems underhand to me

I have just called & been able to pause my Sky Sports subscription.

It did take a few attempts, first couple of times there was the recorded message that they are busy, try again tomorrow so I found different numbers by attempting to cancel online & got through in the end & then had a 25 minute wait (the initial message said 45 min wait).

Once I got to talk to someone it took 2 miins to pause the account & they said to just call back whenever & get it going again.

Obviously pausing isn't cancelling but it might be worth it in the mean time?

It would be nice if Sky actually allowed you to remove packages on their website, rather than only allowing you to add them and bump up your bill!

It's my biggest gripe with Sky. So easy to log in online and get extra packs and shop but you can't remove anything without talking to them and that involves long queues on the phone at best.

I called to pause Sky Sports this morning, recorded message said wait time was an hour. My call was answered and dealt with inside four minutes.

The subsequent email suggests it's been cancelled rather than paused.

I couldn't get through to the chat function over the last few days so emailed them yesterday to cancel my subscription; I was intending to do it as a result of the last increase (I'm out of contract), but I can no longer justify it anymore.

BT are exactly the same. I want to get rid of BT sport but packages cannot be removed from the online account management - you have to ring them up to do it. And they basically charge you the remaining term of the contract to cancel it early, so I may as well just persevere with it until the end of the contract.
