My wife is looking for recommendations please for a laser jet printer primarily for b&w stuff but with good colour capability. Also a scanner with an auto document feeder.

Brother are great and you can use pattern cartridges in them without issue.

You don't need to spend that much - you can get a decent one at the 200-250 mark.

Another vote for Brother home lasers.

I bought one at the beginning of the week when my daughter was isloated from school to print the various learing tools etc... out. I went for a HL1112 (mono) from Argos for £59!

It works a treat and picked up a replacement toner for £14 delivered from CartridgeSave! laughably cheap!
