Ubiquiti or Gryphon advice
Discussion
I get my broadband (fttc) from Plusnet and am using thier supplier router. Of late i find i need to reset it every week due to devices reporting no connectivity.
I'm looking to replace this to try and get a more robust system but also to have an element of control over what our sites our 8yr has access to and also the time these sites are available.
I have seen the (new) Ubiquiti Dream machine which looks like it will do all i need and a whole lot more. Id look to go with the single unit and see how the Wifi coverage extends around the house, but would like to know what i could add upstairs to boost the signal, it would need an ethernet port though for my desktop.
Im also drawn to the Gryphon router which seems to be very secure and offer a lot of content control etc but it doesnt seem to have wide acceptance.
I have the old OpenReach modem, so i believe i should be able to connect these types of router to the internet without needing the plusnet hub?
Id like whatever i select to be easy to configure, but give me scope to make changes easily.
Any comments on either the above or other suitable alternative would be welcome.

Highly recommend most Ubiquiti products for sheer Wi-Fi performance and reliability, but be aware that they are not amazing when it comes to things like parental controls. You can of course tackle this via other methods. The Amplifi range is worth a look and far easier to configure than Unifi/UDM - but it depends how much you are into all this.
I haven't had any experience of Gryphon, but just looking at one of their products it seems they give a lot more focus to parental controls.
