Hi all. What's the best way to get to and then back from the drivers parade on Friday? We missed it last year as we only left Blighty at 2pm on Friday so I'd like to make it this year.

Is it best to drive and park, or can you walk it or what? We're staying in Beau Sejour with Speed Chills if thats any use...

Its a fair way into the city from the circuit and a taxi costs an arm & a leg. Parking can be a bit a of a mare too - and you can't have a beer or two.

Not really sure what the best solution is. There may be some public transport solution but I don't know.

Parking outside of the centre is not to bad, try just the other side of the river, it is only a short walk to the square.

Remember not to much of the 'falling down water'
the French limit is nearly half of ours

You can park in the city centre surprisingly easly if you get there soon enough. We normally get there a couple of hours before the start and can normally get in one of the underground car parks under the squares. There's one under where the start/finish of the parade is, and another under the square with the McDonalds and various cafe's are at the other side of town.

Essentially - just drive, don't be late and you'll find somewhere. They aren't particularly well signposted though.

In previous years we have parked in the same carpark as the start of the parade. Got a great view from the top of the bus.

Top stuff all. Only problem is (and I've only just remembered this), there are 5 of us with 3 2 seater cars. DOH!

We stay in Le Mans town and went in on a shuttle bus late Saturday night last year from the square, returned early hours. All you need is your race pass and it's free.
