I got a bit tired of the big C- 19 one, some people have quite understandably got a lot of serious s
t on and I don't want a bit of fun to get lost in there.
There were a couple of comments in there about the inflammatory language used by the media which makes a bad situation a lot worse. Here is a bit I've picked up on, I wonder if anyone can add any more.
Lockdown! when they really mean stay at home and do a bit of gardening.
Borders sealed! they don't want every Tom Dick and Harry spreading this virus so no pass for them but trucks and vans with goods are fine.
Financial crash! The FTSE 100 is where is was a year ago.
Latest deaths! A relatively low number of unfortunate people, most of whom already had health issues and died of something at the same time as being infected by C- 19
Martial Law! Our vastly understaffed Police and emergency services are going to be helped by our armed forces who we usually love and support but now are expected to fear. They're only needed as the idiots who were told 4 days ago to stop unnecessary travel insist on carrying on not as normal but go to the shops even more. These same people, if they were told, we need you to spread this virus by getting in your cars and driving to the shops to cough over each other would be wanting their petrol money paid for.
U Turn! Apparently an act of doing what you said you would do but maybe a little bit quicker as the best information is constantly improving.
This is a piss take and please don't spoil it by correcting points. Please only contribute if you're going to add to the list or make it more humorous.

It's all about making something mundane into a spectacle. People are going to be poorly, some with existing problems will die. Probably at similar rates to seasonal flu.
If they hadn't started about panic buying and lockdowns, life would be going on as normal.

The hysteria will burn out long before the virus and unfortunately that might have consequences. If they'd been measured all along and actually informed people it would be helpful.
The best thing the government can do for the well being of this country is have a few Apaches descend from the clouds and empty all the Hellfires they have into the Daily Mail's offices.

LOCKDOWN TO LAST 18 MONTHS!
Doesn't mean that a. it will happen or b. you need 18 months of food and ass paper after being sealed in your house.
18 months of forced closures would destroy the majority of industries and decimate the shares that most pension funds are invested in. How about the most vunerable are protected and the rest of us go about our lives as normal and take the the change of the virus on the chin.

6 wks of summer holiday usually becomes unbearable after 4, what's it going to be like with a (possibly) extra 16 odd weeks leading up to that joyous time of the year
