I am not sure what else you would call lining up three cars and then starting them all off at the same time to see who is fastest regardless of what the cars are...

The good old "aiding and abetting" side of things will have screwed over the organiser/starter.

The racing rules are a bit dubius in some cases (eg as above poster) but pretty clear in this case!

The guy above does have a point. If you are minding your own on some twisties, and some tt tries to keep up, I can't see how that can legally be racing? he may be racing you in his mind, but you are just ignoring his idiocy in your rear mirror in your clearly superior handling car.

Stupid beanie-hatted morons. Ban the lot of them. Whether they were racing or not. 24 months suspension of licence just for turning up to watch.

In fact, fk it. Transport them all to Porton Down and experiment on them with Covid-19. Force the ttwaffling wkspangles to do something useful for society instead of risking other people's safety for their own mindless gratification.

Literally it is a race, but its so pathetic it hardly qualifies as a real race. I was using the term in a figurative rather than a literal sense.

Well, quite. It gives everyone who likes cars a bad reputation, by association with these idiots

I don't think anyone is suggesting it's a race in the grand Prix Sense.

It seems reasonable to consider it a 'street race' in an informal sense. As the insurers seem to have done.
