The biggest existential crisis this country has seen for generations and the Queen issues a bland statement while getting out of dodge.

Why on earth doesn’t she do a live broadcast to the nation like other Heads of State? The population needs to her and needs her leadership, guidance and reassurance at the moment, not a simple placating statement.

Because if she did someone on here would point out she was a constitutional monarch and shouldn't be interfering with the governments job.

But she is following government advice an is isolating

Didn't you say it was just a bit of Flu a few weeks ago?

I'd rather she gave a mooted statement that read your back-pedalling nonsense tbh.

I did. I was wrong. I’m not too big to admit it. However, I still won’t panic like others

She's 94 next month and Phil isn't in the best of of health. Despite all the healthcare resources at her disposal, I suspect the old girl is bricking it.

Obviously you’re not in the loop, she & Phillip are dead. The government is just waiting to get Mother’s Day out the way before telling the world.
London Bridge is down.

I do wonder if London Bridge is, indeed, down and the government are waiting for the least bad time to tell the public to avoid a mass outpouring grief with people lining the pavements (particularly the older members of our community)

If it were the case I’d suggest Harry and Meghan are mad K and Q.

The nation wouldn't be able to worry about CV for pissing themselves laughing!

Stocked up a lot of tinfoil this one.

Who cares what the queen has to say. I could imagine what she would say in my head. We dont actually need her to say anything. Also works at Christmas time.

You might, but I don't. I need scientists, to keep me informed of what's happening. And that's what I'm getting on a daily basis in the govt televised press calls. The host of the show in the middle of the 2 scientists is a bit surplus to requirements, but that's life.

I recall an announcement came out from Queenie today.

Focus on community - etc etc

As she is someone well into their 90's - I don't think I will push too hard on their timing.

This. Just another excuse to start a thread for attention.
