Crashed on the golf course in the Falklands in the sixties.

I'm thinking Convair 880?

I can’t find any reference to a Convair 880 having had such an incident on the Falklands. Hmm.

No, me either.

It was an internal flight in Argentina from Bahia Blanca to Rio Gallegos when it was hijacked by a blonde lady toting a gun and 200 Durex. It crash landed on the racecourse (not golf course) out side Stanley.

It's thought to be a DC-4, but it doesn't look right for that. It looks like a two engined jet, not a four engined prop.

Yep. That’s the story.

Definitely a DC4. Zoom in on the right wing. Two engines there.

My initial thoughts were DC-4 or C-54.

I was thinking DC-4 or DC-6.

For reference here's a better picture of a DC-4/C-54
