Microsoft Exams...
Discussion
Dunno what it is with me and exams, I just don't test well. I talk to customers and colleagues about this stuff day in, day out and I just cannot get to grips with MS exams, VMware ones aren't so bad but the MS once specifically seem to catch me out or just plain not make sense. Anyone else suffer like this?
Currently studying for MS-101, ran up a practice exam and failed badly, same thing happened before I did MD-100 and MD-101 but after a few practice attempts and many more extra hours of study I passed them but these again were subjects I was already pretty confident with but when I hit the submit button I was certain I had failed.

Is the issue possibly that (in your words) you're talking about it a lot, but aren't doing it? MS-101 is aimed at people who already are administering 365 in an enterprise environment. Of course it's possible to pass without having spent time doing it for real. Do you have the opportunity to spend a couple of months doing hands-on administration or can you spend some time in some labs or a sandbox environment (not the same though as you won't have users doing and asking for weird things
)?
)?Yeah maybe, I do have access to demo labs etc but like you say its not the same. Work are just expecting me to pass this just based purely on self study which doesn't help. I do Intune work for customers already but I mainly deal with iOS and Android and I think alot of what is catching me out is the Windows 10 stuff and the admin outside of the device management blade.

Given your employers need you to do this, any chance they would invest in you remotely "attending" a course to prepare you for the exam (and doing the work!)?Gassing Station | Computers, Gadgets & Stuff | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
