InfoRad GPS Camera thing-a-me; any good?
Discussion
From Woolworths, costs just shy of £80 and looks OK. I bought one on the proviso that if it's crap, or I can't hear it on the bike (it's intended useage), I can return it for a refund. I've tested it, drove right past a speed camera and it was still trying to find a GPS lock, 10minutes after setting off, but I haven't plugged it into my PC yet and set it up, if indeed it needs that. According to the website, I can also buy a cable for £19.99 that allows it to be hard wired into the vehicle.

There've been a couple of threads on here about it, I bumped one to the top in General Gassing a couple of days ago so you might have a rummage for it.
Here it is : www.pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=23&t=172648
A couple of PHers have them - Matt_fp & 993SC. Both seem very impressed, and database is seeming to be kept up to date.
Only slight fly in the ointment is that it's not directional, will pick up cameras on both sides of the roads, but it's better than it missing some of them!
If you are having reception problems, make sure the aerial is somewhere good. Should lock on in a couple of minutes.
