Sending leased car back early?
Discussion
I have recently purchased an electric vehicle and also have a Volvo V90 on lease for the longer journeys, however due to the current restrictions, I’m wondering if there is any point having two vehicles?!?
We are self isolating, not because we have been told to, but because it’s the right thing to do, so the need for one car is debatable, let alone two!
The Volvo is due back in August, so I will have 5 payments left @£286pm. Having spoken to Santander, my understanding is that I will have to pay 50% of the monthlies to cancel, so £715 vs keeping it on my drive as an ornament for £1430!
Any others thinking the same?

I just settled three months early with VWFS. Went OK at first and car was collected on time and without additional charges but since then I have random payments taken from the Direct Debit and also they notified Equifax I had a missed payment after the agreement was cleared.
Apart from that it worked for me as I avoided a £300 service and possibly a couple of tyres that would have been needed if I kept the car to term.
