I’m interested in the views and experiences of others.

My AUC warranty, is coming to the end on a 2016 car, I purchased last year.

I’ve done enough reading, to decide it’s the comprehensive warranty I want, all be it, I’ve had no problems in the last 12 months.

Zero excess is £625 pa
£100 excess is £440
£250 excess is £339

Roadside assistance adds £82

The £100 excess option looks quite appealing.

Has anyone had any experience of their roadside assistance ?

Also, if I went for the £250 excess and had a bad year, I guess there’s nothing stopping you changing the excess the following year ? As in, you don’t get locked in to that cover ? smile

Those prices are a steal IMO

I have a 3 yr old 520d x drive.
Comprehensive warranty and roadside assistance. £250 excess.

£678 as a one of payment !
Or 12 x £73

For my 66 plate 335d, my one year extended warranty is £250 excess, and £422 premium.

I’ve had a better read up on the breakdown cover, and that seems decent value, as I’ll do at least 1 European trip. So I’ll have that.

No problems last year, is leading me towards the £250 excess, but the £100 cover doesn’t seem a lot more.

Just had my warranty quote as my F31 335d with 28000 miles turns 3 years old later this month,

Zero excess is £707 inc road side assist
£100 excess is £522 inc RSA
£250 excess is £422 inc RDA

I’ll defo be extending & more than likely opting for the £100 excess quote.

Ive owned a March 2017 335D X-Drive since it was 6 months old which has now just finished its 3 year warranty. I had the inspection done at the dealer in Feb (nothing needed) and was told BMW would write to me with warranty options before the 3 year period was over. Due to EasyJet's total incompetence (another story) we were abandoned for a month in Tenerife until Thursday this week and thankfully came home with BA. Sorting through the post- nothing from BMW and I can't get a quote online as my log-in code (which I never received) has expired. I've emailed them to chase this up but conscious this may not be a priority at the moment!!

I know these are difficult times but is this typical? Can I get an extended warranty at any time? Car has only done 22000

When you try and get a quote, if it’s asking you for your login and password, you’re still in that period when they waiting for you to extend. There’s a telephone number on my renewal letter... 0345 641 9790

If you were outside of that period and out of warranty, when you type your registration into the online quote system, it will give you a quote.

So yes, you can buy once the renewal period is up.

If you haven’t already had this answered.... Any warranties expiring on 14th March onwards, have been extended until 1st July.

I received a letter last month, with a pin for accessing my quote. Which I viewed and posted the prices above.

When I went in today to purchase the warranty, the prices had disappeared. Due to the virus/extended warranty, I’m no longer into the last month of warranty, so there’s no price.

I rang the number and still purchased it, to start on 1st July.

HTH, and gives you a bit more time smile
