Jackie Chan film "Thunderbolt"
Discussion
Cant remember what film it was but Jackie had to make a jump from the base of a bridge to a moving hovercraft (that film had a lambourghini countach in), on one attempt he broke his ankle, they put it in a cast, made a sock which looked like his shoe and he carried on with the stunt!
TOP BLOKE!
TOP BLOKE!Jackie's best films are some of his earlier ones - the more recent US market ones are still impressive but not as good. Armour of God and Armour of God II are class films.
As for the stunts - at the beginning of Armour of God he jumps into a tree at the start but misjudges it and ends up losing half his head on the landing. The bloke is a nutter but he can't not do his own stunts now as he is so well known for it.

When he was building his EVO he was fitting a Turbo timer, what on earth is that?
It stops you turning the engine off after a blast as the engine still needs to feed the turbo with an oil supply as its going a gazillion rpm.
I have one, pain in the arse at petrol stations mind!
I saw one of these on a Japanese import Evo. It allowed the turbo to spin down by keeping the engine running for a short time. Not sure what this will do if you want to part it in a garage, but I guess the idea is to bring a gas mask with you. Might stop me leaving the car in gear I guess.
re serious roles, i watched a documentary on sunday and he said that he was originally cast in serious bruce lee style roles which he hated...
re turbo timer... i suppose if you saw a car with one at least you know the turbo might still be in good condition, cos most turbo car owners immediately turn the engine off upon parking
re that film last night... notice how they raced through yellow flags?!!

So come on then.
Will a Mitsubishi FTO really have a chance against a Skyline???
And what of that bloke waking on top of the Countash*
(I know it was a model, but the very thought...)
And the badie being a drug smuggling gun-totting bank-robbing racing driver. In the words of Harry Hill, "What are the chances of that happening, eh?"
*I have no idea how you spell Countasch-er...Cunotiasch...er....
