£30k, want to be flung to the back of my seat

Apologise for the long post I am in a bit of a dilemma

First time using this site so apologise if there has been a similar discussion elsewhere but I made an account to ask all of you what the recommendation for my next car should be.

My story so far is below. My question, in summary, is, I am looking for a car in my budget, comfortable during road driving, will pull me back harder than the Bentley and will just put a smile on my face during my normal commute. My list so far is
F-Type, SL500, M4, S500, TTRS, M6, E63,
Is there anything you would Recommend/ Avoid?

My list so far is odd and long but I am the beginning stages of all this. I am also open to the more niche type of cars I even thought of going for a CTS V.

Story
I was going to take the plunge and purchase a 2007 Bentley GT mainly due to the fact it was very comfortable but when you put the foot down the acceleration was amazing (basically thrown to the back of my seat, previously I have only driven estate cars like A4 and 3 series diesels so this feeling was an amazing feeling).

I took my girlfriend to see the car and the first thing she said was "So when are you retiring?". I realised then that the car was not completely me and maybe in another 10 years I will look at it again, however, for now, I have decided I want something that is just fun and will put me to the back of my seat and give me a smile when I drive my normal commute.

If you've considered the CTS have you also looked at Holden Commadores an HSV GTS which can be badged as Vauxhall VXR8?
There are a few supercharged ones out there pushing 600+ hp

Any V8 TVR will give you that shove in the back - low down torque and low weight.

If you want the Bentley I wouldn’t let anyone put you off. We had one for a short time and loved it (this was the convertible, so maybe less ‘old-man’?)

With 30k you can head in a few directions so here's my eclectic mix.

Corvette Z06 now this will involve some haggling & stretching of the budget but this car will pin you in the seat as well as being able to soak up the miles.

VXR8 GTS a very sweet with power for fun & they also posses the ability to produce even more should you wish.

Now if you want holy mother of god acceleration the there's pretty much one pick, I will add I'm talking about roll ons as standing starts will mean morse code from the tyres as they try to get traction & that's before it's mapped.

TBH most cars have the ability to push you back in your seat it just comes down to how hard you want to be pushed back all the above have the ability to not only push you back but to also be unrelenting in holding you (the VX8 being the exception) there as you head for the horizon.

For that your just approaching w205 C63 territory, 4.0 twin turbo and non S is 476bhp, easily mapped to 550+!


I have the S with 510bhp and it's a monster and even untuned will through you back in the seat!

Also, note that the cars I've recommended are towards the bottom of their depreciation curves.

Keep that in mind when looking at cars. Do you care about depreciation, or not, a question for you.

Corvette is a good shout as are the VXR8s. Going totally bonkers for a minute a Ford Lightning with a minimum of work will be massively entertaining both in terms of 'throwing you back in your seat', hanging the arse out at will, being (pretty much) the ultimate Q-car (albeit achieving high levels of opprobrium on PH) and maintains its value superbly

My old Evolve supercharged M3’s on EBay at the mo. 628bhp. Miss it. Awesome noise. Amazing shove in the back and wouldn’t have thought it would lose much. Who knows right now though!
