Tyre system fault
Discussion
Hi all,
Ive taken the car out of winterstorage and got the dreaded Tyre system fault showing up with the orange tyre indicator remaining on after a while. All individual tyre pressure indicators however work and are not flashing.
Is this just a case of a reset?

Feel free to contact me on it, I have become quite an expert of the TPMS stuff, especially the newer Beru system.

Make sure you take the car for a good run before doing anything drastic. Had the same fault indicated on my 2006 V8V when all I was doing was moving it in and out of the garage. As soon as I took it for an extended drive, the fault cleared.
Mine is a 2007 V8V and I too had this experience but the Handbook states 'If stationary for 20 minutes or more (engine running or ignition key at position 2) the tyre pressure warning lamp will illuminate and 'Tyre System Fault' will show in the message centre right. If after moving off (allow 3-4 minutes [max 20 minutes]), the lamp and message do not clear then the system may be at fault.'I had been moving the car in & out of the garage and had let it idle for a while too. After a short drive the messages did indeed disappear. Not sure if this applies to the later system.
