Dream scenario to have a team built around him and to pull off a championship, however as good as Hamilton is, he is no spring chicken, something like that could take years and he'd be approaching 40.

Given Stroll is involved I guess Lance would have to be one of the drivers too!

Toto and one of his drivers are said to be, 'joined at the hip'

If Toto Woolf does become President & CEO (maybe that AML president nonsense will be dropped), will his driver be the
Corporate Brand Image and Marketing Director ?

At least LH is a bit different from the usual rather bland F1 drivers (Kimi not included).
This from an old fart with no tattoos!

If Toto does go to AML (which I doubt) then I predict Lewis would go to Ferrari - why would someone in pursuit of Schumacher's record put himself in a second-tier team?

Lol
undisputed is the need for a change at AML.
But the mere fact that Toto Wolff and Lawrence Stroll took the same flight is suggesting what?
Isn´t it more likely that they talked about cost cutting at AML, shutting down own engine development and focusing on exclusive engine supply from Mercedes-AMG?
Please don´t scream - this is just made up. And I guess the article is equally fact based...

Does no one remember Button and Brawn?

And for those who are saying Hamilton is nearly forty! I am a year older than him and share the same birthday, forty is thankfully, a long way off still!

When Michael joined Ferrari they weren't doing particularly well.
Great drivers like a challenge, building up a team and make it successful could be such a challenge.
Remember Red Bull Racing started of as Jaguar Racing, a second-tier team until a wealthy business man transformed it into what it is now, there's no reason Stroll couldn't do the same.

Upfront: Great drivers hate to build up a team. They have a desire to win - and nothing else. Everyone in F1 likes to drive for either Mercedes, Ferrari or Red Bull. The other teams are interim solutions, the inevitable path to the top.
Stroll has been transforming Racing Point already to an extent that Red Bull is scared. But that is not the issue.

The articles in motor sports media talk about Toto Wolff replacing Andy Palmer.
Or LH. Quite likely he would do better job than the current management.

Would be an odd decision to leave the mercedes team when they're so close to breaking the records.

If the rumours of Toto wanting the "big job" running F1 are true though he'll need an intermediary position to appease the crybaby team.

Random: my GF works in management for Hugo Boss and their current CEO will leave in September. Rumour has he will go to Mercedes, hence maybe someone from Mercedes coming to AM?

Why? You don't think AP's 20th Century plan was working?

I mean - that is pretty obvious if I look at the share price. The plan is certainly not working.
The DB11 is ok - but not selling better than the DB9 did in its first years.
The new Vantage is technically a great car - and commercially a disappointment.
The DBX is late - and the financial situation of the company is a disaster.
AML was not able to pay the parts they need for producing cars.
The Lagonda stuff is canceled completely and the mid-engine cars are delayed.

Management is getting exchanged, some voluntarily, others by "mutual agreement" says the wording.
What is a "realistic reset of the business plan"? The previous business plan didn´t work at all!

But the worst: He personally is responsible for the employee share purchase program in which the Aston Martin employees lost a lot of money (which just accidentally ended up in the pockets of (almost) "Sir" Andy Palmer. And they lost confidence in management and their employer which certainly impacts work motivation.

Other than that Andy Palmer was responsible for the Nissan LeMans LMP embarrassment, where they developed a front-wheel-driven LMP car which never achieved anything. He is responsible for the LMP Hypercar Valkyrie disaster. And why did they start the DTM adventure where they were competing against world class companies Audi and BMW? For me this guy is the worst manager of all times in Aston Martin history. If it were not for L. Stroll and its loans the company would have closed the doors this month!
