Best way to help with an empty house ?

I have a large empty house that I have been trying to sell which is just a couple of miles from the local hospital.

I was wondering if I could offer it to the NHS, obviously free of charge, so that it could be used to house any temporary staff or whatever.

Is that a good idea or unrealistic, and if it is who would I speak to?

If you're able to post up the hospital name people may be able to point you to specific contacts there?

Very nice offer. Not sure but I’d imagine the local NHS Trust would be the first call I’d make. Is it fully furnished with all bedding etc? If not it might be an issue.

Unfortunately it’s empty. I’m sure a Facebook whip round could roughly furnish it though if they were interested.

Sadly there is a lot of red tape in these sorts of things and the NHS (both hospital providers as well as NHS property services) own vast swathes of residential accommodation for this exact purpose.

By all means contact your local Trust HQ and ask the question but likely they won’t take it up.
