Back at the end of last year, when my landlord decided to sell up, and we decided to buy a house, I knew I would want to buy a car again (have been without for 18 months now).

I spent lots of time researching, and finally reached a decision on what I'm likely going to buy (R53 JCW).

And this week I got moved, finally.

However, I am now working from home for the forseeable. This virus is slowly sweeping through communities, and if we follow the likes of Italy's lead, we will be on full lockdown within a couple of weeks in all likelihood.

I have been literally so excited to get a car again, but I kind of feel like there's no point now? Thoughts?

Would be inclined to wait. I am doing a fraction of the driving I usually do, and we have a recession looming. I have no doubt that prices will drop in the next couple of months. I buy cars fairly regularly but have nothing in my short term plans right now.

As above, the country is likely to be locked down further and you are working from home anyway so what's the point to park it outside your house for a few weeks?
May as well keep your money a few more weeks and see what happens.
