I cycled through Peaslake yesterday afternoon (only stopped to put a gel wrapper in the bin wink) I didn't think it was that busy with cyclists, less than you'd see normally on a Saturday afternoon. However, there were far more cars than usual and the car parks were all rammed in the area and there were far more people out walking than normal. I had to stop a few times in the narrower lanes (shophouse lane particularly) to help cars squeeze past each other (ruined my stava time up there furiouslaugh) So I'd certainly put the emphasis on visitors to the area, rather than cyclists being the problem! Especially when cyclists make up a large part of Peaslake store's custom under normal circumstances

That makes sense.

I left London in 2005 but I remember back even then it was grossly over run so I ended up avoided stopping there.

It looks lovely but is 243 miles away from me that’s one huge ride wink I might visit for a holiday when we are allowed to take such things again.
