What do you not like about working from home?

What I don't like:

The added wear and tear on my own possessions e.g. carpets, flooring, computer keyboard etc!
Using my own bog roll.
Increased dishwasher usage from having breakfast and lunch at home.
Screaming and wailing kids from next door.
Having to listen to the neighbours going for a piss - seriously!
It always feels fking freezing, hence I've had to notch up the thermostat.
The lack of variety in environment.

In summary - it's a pain in the arse! The only upside is the lack of commute but I don't feel like I'm gaining that much time as a result of not doing it. Quite enjoy the motorbike commute too...

The fact both me and my girlfriend are here, and so one of us is working in the bedroom, one in the lounge/kitchen. If you work in the bedroom, you wake up, work, and go to sleep in the same room. It's pretty depressing. But the lounge/kitchen you are on an awkward round table with very uncomfortable dining room chairs. And the walls in my rental flat are all grey and magnolia. When we move into our own place I am putting up patterned wallpaper or something so it is less dull.

I prefer working from home whenever I can! In the normal run of things I spend about 40% of my time travelling (now zero % for the next 12 weeks, ish), 20% of my time building/testing/repairing kit and the remaining 40% answering emails, writing technical manuals, providing technical data to the marketing department and writing training presentations. That last 40% I try to do from home whenever possible as I tend to get more done and save £35/week on fuel.
Now I’m WFH 90% of the time and going to the factory to work on the kit when I can book time to have the workshop without being infected!
When this is all finally over I can see me earning an awful lot of air miles catching up!

The only negative side to WFH is the lack of variety in my surroundings!

An colleagues reaction to us being told to work from home last week was - 'who is going to pay for my electricity'... Apart from anything else it clearly didn't occur to him he'd be paying less to commute, as well as saving time.

Only issues I have are avoiding distractions, as well as stopping at a reasonable time.

the biggest thing is that normally once you leave the office you can put the day's events to one side wind down on the way home and then you're in your relaxation space. Working from home there is no separation

Non-ergonomically designed works spacing is already playing havoc with my back

The novelty wears off pretty quickly (being able to get those little jobs done etc.) I've been WFH full time for around 2 years now, it gets extremely boring very quickly but at least before CV19 I had the option to go into the office occasionally just to see some people, now every one is in the same boat it is mind numbing.

Presumably the wear on your carpets is offset by the reduced wear on your motorbike.

The sounds the noises the dogs make when cleaning themselves. This noise is only normally reserved for quieter or dialogue filled scenes from films but it seems that when working from home it also becomes louder and more noticeable.

In fact, it's happening right now as I type this and can feel my blood starting to boil!!!!

I should be used to it after many years. The fact I'm posting this suggests otherwise.
