Yeah mine is on Saturday.

Changed it from last week as I was meant to be in Vegas, meant to try and get it in last week but forgot frown

If an MOT was due in April (just after Mid April), is there any point trying to get an earlier slot and doing it end of March?(that's assuming I will be able to get it done!)

Mine is booked in for next week, but down where my mum lives! I'm assuming that's now gone for a burton and if I can book one I'll have to get one done locally. It's a shame because the garage where it wsa booked in has a good reputation and is a friend of the family, so any work that needs doing gets done with a small discount.

Hope anyone having a test is spared my experience last week of copping a refusal for headlamp washers not working due to the tester not realising they only work when the lights are on...

Mine’s booked on Friday morning, was informed if I wanted to sit and wait it had to be outside and not in the building/office.

After this evening’s announcement are you permitted to remain open?

I’ve swapped my car tonight and taken the one due off the road until I can get it booked back in as assuming my garage will now be closed.

I'd imagine garages will still be required. After all - a lot of key workers need a car to get to work and a doctor isn't much use if their car's fked.

I'd have thought that garages would be allowed to remain open, as they would be needed to maintain some essential vehicles surely?

I suspect we are heading for a 3-6 month suspension.

Mine is due this week however without even thinking about Coronavirus I booked it three weeks early, glad I did now, normally I get it done the day it's due.

Mine's booked in for Wednesday. I'm assuming it's still going ahead.

If they close, or MOTs are suspended without a workaround of some kind, it's not a total disaster, I'll just do what I expect a lot of other people on here will do and simply drive one of my other cars in the intervening period, but I'd imagine a hell of a lot of people aren't so fortunate as to be able to do that.

Wednesday for an elderly MX5

In two minds.
It’s a spare car. If a carte blanche ‘you’ll not hear from us’ I’m happy to wait

I don’t want ball ache for not complying.

I wondered where andymc’s business sat on this as also a dealer.
Under the guidelines I’m a key worker and classed as frontline. I’ve made provision by swapping my daily temporarily just in case.

My Seven was dropped off this morning for a full service and MOT. I have a funny feeling I may not be seeing it again for a while.

I saw this coming and got the OHs car MOTd a month early last Thursday.

I was lucky as I booked a couple of days before and he was totally free - day I went in the phone was going mad.
