I've got at least 6 weeks worth of proposals and ISO documentation to keep me busy, but had today and tomorrow off as holiday (already booked) so finished reveneering dashboard, recoloured dash top and all things blue and aim is to get SEAC dash back in, wired and car running again in next three weeks, ready for an MOT. My preferred local garage is closed so not too keen going elsewhere as they are TVR friendly.

Hi Keith,Are you involved in standardisation work? I've just moved up to ISO standards committees for the BSI after 5 years of CEN work. My first working group meeting is in China in August, so I'm not sure if thats going to happen!
Regards,
Rick

Hi Rick, our business is going for ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 at present so lots of paperwork needs pulling together. Exciting stuff.
Yep - good stuff! I took us through the transition to the 2015 version of 9001 in 2018, so I know what you have on your plate! We're finally getting around to 14001 and 45001 this year - though this flu thing has knocked the schedule a bit... Good luck!Three weeks off
This isn't a holiday, it's a global pandemic, its also a global economic crisis!
Don't take 3 weeks off, work from home to support the UK economy.
If you genuinely can't do your job from home, use your time to help the elderly and vulnerable.
If you are treating this crisis as 3 weeks off to play with your plastic weekend sports car when people are in genuine need, you've completely misread the situation
Quite honestly with NHS staff risking their lives every day to save the lives of others, this post is insensitive and best, moreover it will be offensive to many.

IMO you'd be better treating it more like we are here in NZ. Its a lockdown, stay at home. If you can work from home, do so, if you cant, then you better keep yourself busy, but you sure as hell better not be out and about, even if you are trying to help others. Dont risk spreading it further, isolate.
I have a month at home now, and I cant work from home, so will be doing what I can around the house, in the garden, and in the garage to stay busy and hope that I have a job to go back to.

A phoenix from the ashes now Brexit is a reality - can we have 240V mains back please?
We're still subscribed to the single standard model and Brexit is unlikely to change that according to Chiswick Tower. However, it may be that we choose more and more to adopt ISO standards, rather than CEN ones. So it'll probably be 120v and weird plugs!!

My job does not allow me to work at home so i have been instructed to take 3 weeks off on reduced pay, not my doing and i am staying at home not going out in my car but using the time to do jobs on it. We are not expected to just sit in the house and are being advised not to socialise . My mother is in a care home and we have been told to stay away with no visiting being allowed so i am aware of the serious nature of this pandemic. I am certainly not trying to make light of the situation and if it is taken that way the i am sorry.
