"Fire sale"?

It has been mentioned that sales of nearly everything except toilet paper and soap have taken a massive tumble - houses, cars and luxuary ggoods may well also figure very highly in this list. With that in mind one might imagine that once this is (mostly?) over there will be retail enticement to ensure that stock gets sold and to get cash flowing again.

Any thoughts on this? Better to buy now or to wait?
