Self-employed and Coronavirus
Discussion
Hi all
So we all know that the government has agreed to pay 80% of furlonged employees and also 80% of self-employed profits.
All great and well-done them.
But...
We seem to fall through the net somewhat!
My wife and I both worked in PAYE full time employment all or life then in October 2018 we become a partnership in this current business but due to other reasons we didn't start trading in this business until l 12 April 2019.
We have been trading for just under a year and have all the books to show this.
Reading the announcement from the government re paying self-employed they state we need to be in business for 3 years but would take 1 years accounts.
Anyone any ideas where we stand?
Our thought are whilst in the year ending April 2019 we did not have more than 50% self-employed status in the year ending April 2020 we had 100% self-employed status.
Any Ideas?
