B2’s went home a week ago. Only a pair of U2’s are at Fairford.

Ran it past a buddy who keeps tabs on these things and he reckoned the U-2 was on a training flight doing circuits yesterday which could well account for the apparent impression of lots of activity.

We had a workshop technician come into work on Thursday who said that the A419 was coned off on the approach to Fairford, like when the Air Tattoo is on. Something is going on.

Nothing going on - U2 was doing circuits yesterday (has been for a few weeks now), B2s (3 of them) left last Friday (20th) and a C5 arrived this morning to take the B2 maintenance kit home

The road before Raf fairford coming from the A419 was closed for resurfacing.

I think that Fairford is pretty much a full time U2 base now.
