No, not run out of Netflix yet and watching reruns, I am interested to see what people think about noisy ones at this point in time.
Opposite has two kids and for the whole week (well since Saturday since weather picked up tbh they have been outside making usual toddler noise, the parents have been out there as well.
Pragmatic side on me says kids really don't like being couped up, and I don't have kids (one on its way), so deep down I know I've got this sort of issue to be the curator of to deal with soon, however is it reasonable for kids to be dumped outside all day?
One option I think might work is to get my Bose speaker next to the fence with some coughing noises playing on loop?

Most kids couldn't be happier than when they're playing in the garden. If you have your own on the way I think you'll find you'll thoroughly enjoy the brief break you get when they're playing outside.
I was more sensitive to the noise of children's play before I had my own. I now realise how unavoidable it is.

Fairly normal and perfectly reasonable. Next door to me are a family with two pre-school kids, who’ve been making the best of the better weather in their small garden. My wife has set up her computer in the kitchen, so hears it more than me my home office is a couple of floors up), but it would be unreasonable to expect families to remain indoors.
Outdoors is the natural place of children.
Play is the way all children and young people engage with the world around them.
The real question is why children and kids aren't outdoors more...?
In our current situation the family are blessed to have a garden.
For reference, there are heading for 100 outdoor nurseries in the UK, most in Scotland, where kids are outdoors, all day, no matter the season.

My neighbours (older couple) stayed in last night instead of going out, however they invited friends over and got drunk.
The bloke is a heavy smoker, so you would think he would be limiting any contact whatsoever. But still out and about, I have to point out the 2m rule as he came over to small talk the other day.

I was talking to a bloke last Saturday who has a factory in Italy, he was saying in the worst places it's got to the point where the dead are in their beds for three or four days before the bodies are removed.
Once that happens your neighbour will stop being a selfish d
head. We popped notes through our neighbours doors with telephone numbers on incase they have toi self-isolate and need stuff picking up etc... its subsequently led to a whatsapp group and actually getting to know each other better.
Our 5yr old has been in the garden everyday in between home schooling bits and playing with the dog etc... shes loving it and other families around with young kids can be heard doing the same.
Thankfully we all have reasonable sized gardens (mostly min. 15m x 10m).
The hot tub however is proving to be a challenge to keep in tip top condition as its never had so much use! (first world problems and all that!)

My neighbours 2 boys are football mad and are in the garden at every opportunity,they were told ages ago to not knock my door if the ball needed retrieving,told them to just come round and get it.Fence panels have taken a battering though but fair play to the parents,they have said they will pay for 1 of the 2 panels that need replacing (the fence is my responsibilty and they rent)

Same in our area generally via FB groups but the local town council are coordinating stuff as well so hopefully no one gets missed out.

probs beats our next door demon children - they started breeding about 5 years ago, up to 2 now, and we've had pretty much non-stop RAGE any time from 6am to 9pm or later, i mean full on top of lungs screaming rage, the kind you wonder if it has glowing eyes and a head doing 360 loops. I think theres something seriously not right in their parenting. Although we've not seen "him" coming or going in a while since they had a massive row so perhaps no more brood?

Normally, we’re all pretty tolerant and don’t have a problem during day time but not now. Not when everyone is flat out working at home and the peace and quiet is being split by him. We all told him to shut it off and don’t even think about starting it again until all this over.

Our village had that problem some time ago. We got it stopped eventually by appealing to the parents' better side. That was the only better side on show, ever. They are gone now.
