We are having a tough time of it at the moment after my dad passed away yesterday so we thought we’d pop the TV on for the kids so we can sort some things out.

We’ve noticed that Amazon appear to be charging for almost all of the children’s films. Anyone else noticed this?

Amazon have to be the most immoral company out there.

Think I’ll be cancelling our subscription.

Sorry for your loss.

Shock horror probe. Profit making business acts to make profit.

Are these charges new?

Amazon prime is st for TV/Films.

They have a fair sized catalogue, but despite their song and dance about TGT, Carnival Row, anything decent is normally "Oh, that's not included in prime, that's extra". Actually you've reminded me, I'll probably cancel my membership this weekend. One fun trick they did on Fleabag was you get series 1 for free but have to stump up for series 2.

Definitely NOT a Netflix alternative.

Yes there has always been a good selection of films for the kids that are included but looking at it today basically everything is chargeable. Profiteering our of a worldwide pandemic is disgusting.

With the example of Fleabag is because it is on iPlayer so the beeb reserve the right to have the exclusive streaming for free stuff.

In terms of kids stuff alot has moved to Disney+ so anything on their catalogue will be chargeable on Prime. Same reason some stuff that is free on Netflix is chargeable on Prime.

loads of options out there, the new disney streaming at 6 quid a month seems good value. The thing with amazon the video side is a side buiness so a lot of stuff you pay for. Considering some people pay 120 per month for sky, it seems good value.
