You have unlimited tethering with that plan. The only exclusion I believe is if you have too many devices tethering from it at once.

Where are you getting limited then ?

Are you being disconnected or being told you've run out of data ?

Hi from EE: You've now used all of the data you can gift. You'll get more next month but, in the meantime, you can continue to enjoy using your unlimited data allowance.

That looks like its about gifting your data to others ? not tethering

As per below .. as long as you arent above 1000GB and 12 devices .. then im not seeing the issue. Gifting isn't tethering

( you've just set your phone up as a hotspot .. not doing anything odd ? )

Unlimited Plans
Uncapped and Unlimited data - 50GB fair use policy applies outside UK. Personal, non-commercial use only. If you regularly tether 12 or
more devices, we will consider this non-personal use and have the right to move you to a more suitable plan. We will consider usage above
1000GB/month to be commercial use and have the right to move you to a business plan. You can choose from 3 swappables (Amazon Prime
Video, BT Sport or the Roam Further Pass). 5G Handset customers can gift up to 120GB all other unlimited customers can gift up to 100GB.
Data usage on an unlimited plan will decrement from giftable allowance. Any data boost allowance will be added to the giftable allowance

Thanks for your help - I’ve not gifted any data all I’ve used it for is tethering tv / computer / occasionally a friend’s phone.

It’s refusing to allow any tethering and it’s as if it sees gifting data as tethering?

Does phone need resetting?

That is what it looks like !

( I've never had a problem doing as you've described - which is why it doesn't look right to me)

Maybe reset the phone , restart the wifi sharing

Gifting data is in the EE app/your settings so worth checking you don’t have it setup.
