Can anyone recommend gaming headphones for the xbox. Preferably under £50

My wife is getting sick of listening to COD so does the sound come of of these as well as the speaking bit?

How do they connect to xbox one? I dont want a lead trailing from the TV.

Thanks in advance

I bought these last week for £50 from Amazon, they get great reviews and I am happy with them, good sound and comfortable.

The price appears to have gone up a tenner but might be worth it over the cheap sets.
Regarding connection they are wired so for the PS4 anyway the just plug in to the controller.

That one, or any other HyperX headset should be good. I got one for my son recently and it works well with the Xbox. I have a wireless one on my PC that's fantastic too but I don't think it works with Xbox.

I've got the turtle beach xo one. Really happy with the performance and just a simple wire into the bottom of the controller.

I use 6 rechargeable AA batteries on rotation. They don't last ages with the headphones in.

It should when the xbox detects the headphones via the controller ports, stop sending sound to the tv.

In the top corner of the home screen it changes to a headphone icon.

If it's the 3.5mm it looks like this.
The other port underneath some of the headsets connect to that.

Yeah you just turn the TV volume off, you get everything thru the headset, voice chat, sound effects, the music etc.
Worth having a tweak of the settings, turn the music down a bit so you can hear your friends better and the enemy footsteps.

Mine have an extra volume control that plugs in. Sound will still come out of the TV but you just turn it down

Is it a standard controller? It was my mate with an Xbox who recommended the Razer's, he has his plugged in to his controller. Might be worth getting a standard control pad and a cheaper set of headphones as a solution in budget.

You’ll probably have the older style xbox controller which doesn’t have a headphone socket. You’d have to either get a new controller or an adapter for the older controller so you can plug headphones in.

I’m in the same predicament myself and I don’t want to have to fork out for a new pad and headphones!

"Microsoft Xbox One Chat Headset" comes with an adapter, the adapter is worth about a tenner, the headphone aren't to bad for the money.

About £20 on ebay, normally upto £30 in shops.
