We moved into our new house this past couple of days (by the skin of our teeth) and were supposed to be hooked up to Sky for our broadband yesterday. TV services come later but that's not so much of an issue.

After several phone calls to Sky and being told completely conflicting stories about the progress (or otherwise) of our supposed connection, it turns out that we can't be connected at all due to "some sort of hold up with Openreach". Seems we're stuck in no man's land.

Sky can't tell us what the issue is, how long it will take to connect us, or even if we'll be able to be connected. Openreach are of course literally impossible to get in touch with, either by us, or allegedly by Sky. The Indian lockdown is apparently not helping as Openreach call centres are Indian based.

If anyone here works for Openreach, either out in the field doing installations or in management of some form, could you give me any indication as to what the heck I'm supposed to do? Are jobs being worked through? Openreach's website says contact Sky for issues/updates, Sky have no clue at all and can't tell me anything.

I know there's worse st going on in the world right now but WFH with no internet is a little difficult.
