Some of you may remember my rat Alfa Junior

As much as I loved having it like that for a bit it deserved a much needed tidy up. Here it is freshly back from paint shop in Verde Muschio

Did you do something to the rear arches?
(.... and can I have your roof rack, I have rat here)

Thanks.
No arch change but I changed the tyres and wheels, they’re now 14’s. 195/65 so they just fill the arches a bit better.
Roof rack was £16 on eBay from an old boy who had since 60’s and toured it round Europe on various family holidays. I love it.

I saw this whilst browsing the show us your alfa thread the other day... It certainly looks good now, but it has so much character in that first pic.

This may be a stupid question, last summer l saw a video on the internet featuring an Alfa GT Junior and l believe Alfa Giulia Super (I’m no Alfa expert) the video was beautifully shot and very moving. Was it your car?
I love both, the car looks and no doubt sounds fantastic.

I like both, but the rat version looks better. Might be the roof rack.

Yup.

If I had to have just one classic, there it is right there.

As above, there a good video here which sums a lot up
https://youtu.be/V2yhdU3DYYU
Otherwise it’s a ‘72 GTJ with 2.0 Nord engine, open trumpets, ClassicAlfa handling kit. I’ve had it 12/13 years or so and it’s very close to my heart. Really needs a proper resto but funds won’t allow yet. It gets used all the time, year round, loads of events and is no garage queen. Lots of pics on my insta page @woody.gtj but only a few since it was painted for obvious reasons as I’ve just got it back this week. Still need to get front grille back on. Cheers

I'm absolutely staggered to be saying this (I don't like 'patina', rat look, tatty/murdered out/etc look), but.....

I preferred the rat look - there's just something about the pic you posted that really works for me

I do like the rat version more, it looks properly used - But they both look great. The car looks like a baby Ferrari or Lamborghini of the time.

These cars are so well well proportioned and just so effortlessly cool.
I got rid of my AMG63 a couple of months ago and these look appealing as a replacement.
Dream spec for me would be in that mustard yellow with wide arches and widened steels (or alfaholocs alloys) with handling and mech upgrades from the same. I know not all will like the idea of the wider arches...
