Hi guys,
Background is a charted management accountant with 12 years post qual experience and I have been working as a Senior BA/Consultant on Transformation projects past 5 years across different industries. Cloud, Big Data, implementations, Finance, engagement, process mapping and improvements yadda Yadda.
Like many who are going through the unknown right now. My contract was always going to come to an end to coincide with financial year end.
In the time off I have decided to pursue a qualification to keep busy. BCS Business Analysis Diploma. Already have CIMA, PRINCE2 amongst others.
Just pure coincidence it came during one the greatest challenges the world faced in a generation. Everything is on hold or has been canned, no brainer there.
I'm lucky I lead a normal lifestyle and have a wife who works and some capital set aside. But gawd knows what's gonna happen going forward.
IR35, Brexit and now COVID. Can't make it up... People are dying and perspective is needed.

I'm not sure what perspective you want, but on the one hand, I'm very fortunate to be director of a company which is almost completely insulated from the 'outside world'. We have cash to see us all through up to two years, and we're not really reliant on our largely passive and ongoing revenue stream.On the other hand, whilst my other consulting work was very busy two weeks ago, it's now dwindled to nowt, and my online retail company is essentially dead.
On the other other hand, I personally lost several hundred thousand pounds last year, and I can't help feeling that what's going on now is re-levelling the playing field a bit.
On my final hand, I'm alive, as is my wife and, as far as I know, the rest of my friends and family. I found bog roll at Asda yesterday, and Majestic will be arriving with six cases of wine tomorrow.
On one of my feet, it's the first day of summer, and it's been snowing
Am I doing this right?
