Could someone kindly point me in the direction of any known fixes for an unstable laptop webcam specifically newish Lenovo Yoga Win10?

Issue: Built in webcam "easycam" highly unstable. Camera app and other video conf software eg Zoom sometimes recognising it sometimes not. As I write when I open the Camera app it works for 2 seconds then off, then back, then off etc. (I regularly reboot)

Known fixes tried:
Update to latest Lenovo Vantage (taken over from Lenovo Settings)
Driver update recommendations downloaded
Privacy settings of camera confirmed off

When issues started:
I connect my laptop to a large monitor for home working and installed a separate USB camera last week for webcam when using the large monitor. This has really upset things. Resetting to a week prior not an option.

Pointers much appreciated - particularly as my webcam has never been in such high demand!

Thanks a lot

I'd say you have a driver compabilty problem if its not seen in device manager. But it could also be a hardware failure. Is there anything in the Windows event log ?

Could you tell me how to uninstall an external camera any more comprehensively than right clicking in Device Manager and uninstalling there?

Thanks a lot
