Not sure if the correct forum, but anyway.
I’m an Operations Director at a mid sized Roofing Co.
I have discovered in the last few days that the MD has put his 100k house refurb through the business, making VAT free payments to subbies, and putting some payments through as materials, with no invoice backup.
This has been in cahoots with the Commercial Director.
As i see it, i see this as Conspiracy to defraud HMRC, which i want no association with.
Am i correct ? He also clipped lads bonuses from September citing overheads, which obviously 100k is going to make a dent in.
Thoughts. I will be jacking based on findings anyway, what would be your next steps after ?
