Just spotted these on fleabay, had anyone tried them? They seem good value if sticky.

I havnt used the T1R.
I used to run R1R which I thought were a really good sticky tyre in both wet and dry. They didn't last long though.

Ran TR1's on the 350i. Good all weather tyre. Lasted well, good in both wet and dry and I'd buy them again.

We used T1Rs on a wedge for tracks days, quite sticky, but they did melt if pushed too hard. That was years ago though, the compound may have changed and they are not sold as td tyre. We ended up with 888s on a spare set of wheels.

Are we all on the same page here? The TR1 and T1Rs are different tyres. The TR1 looks a bit (to my eyes at least) like a Rainsport 3 in terms of tread pattern.

I'm interested in the answer to the question, as I currentl run T1Rs on my Chimaera, and am looking at fitting a set of TR1s if the consensus is that they are OKish.

I had a look at those Adam. They seem to be good value. I need to change my complete set of tyres as they are now 16 years old! They still look like new but I think they may have fossilized! I have 50 profile Bridgestone Potenza which have been excellent although the ride is harsh. I did look at 60 profile on the 205 but they are very limited in supply. My new train of thought is to go 50 profile again and change the shock absorbers which are probably on their last legs anyway. Hopefully I will get a better ride quality after that.
