Garage Heating
Discussion
Have got quite a large garage with a highish ceiling, the X5 fits in there with no issues and there's some head room above it.
So although it's meant to be getting warmer now, it's still cold in the morning, so it needs some heat in there. Garage is around 12m from the house, so connecting the central heating not an option, although I have power in there. It's quite well insulated although there are some minor drafts but nothing too major.
I need a cheap to run heater for occasional use, I've been told IR heaters might work best, does anyone have any recommendations please?

I’ve just seen that Aldi have an IR patio heater on their special buy list that might fit the bill, no idea whether it’s any good value wise though. https://www.aldi.co.uk/gardenline-electric-patio-h...
My garage is about 24 sq/m and I fitted one of these over the winter.

They also do a portable version. I run mine on red diesel and it uses about 2l per day if I have it on all day. After about an hour the garage will go from 2-3 degrees to 18 degrees.

Wife has managed to order this for me, even though I missed put earlier today. Thanks for the info! Gassing Station | Home Mechanics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
