BTL re-letting while current lockdown is on?

I have a property that became empty 4 weeks ago, It’s 250 miles away from home so had decided
to sell when it became vacant, all veiwings stopped with the lockdown but I’ve now been approached buy someone who’d like to rent it.
I can get around the viewings ok but not sure how I can sort out the paperwork without travelling to meet them.
Would you just jump in the car and meet face to face (500 mile round trip)
Or do it remotely with scanned paperwork etc?

I suspect local lettings agents will bite your hands off for a bit of new business at the moment?
You might be able to strike a good deal on the fees.

It's a tricky situation.

If you create a tenancy and the new tenant cannot or won't pay you are going to have the devil's own job getting rid of them - through the courts anyway.

I've not looked into the legalities of it, but I wonder whether a furnished holiday let would allow you to create a licence instead of a tenancy.

Unless I were pretty sure about being able to get rid of a delinquent tenant I would keep it empty.

Phone or email them. The agent who manages ours is still working from home they may not be in the shops but they are still working.
