I got the headlights fans a couple of weeks ago and am just waiting for the jacking pads from Steve ( must say excellent service and quality from both outfits ) and am planning to fit them soon .
First time with ceramic discs - are there any special precautions to take when removing the wheels to avoid disc damage ?

I seem to note that Porsche supplied a special rod to ensure the wheel doesn't drop ( may have been for central lock wheels ) .

Thanks

When you take the wheels off just be careful, the discs can get damaged, no special tool though

I've seen some guys with Porsches have along rod which screws into the hub (bolt hole) and the wheel slides out along this preventing damage to the disc.

With heavy wheels can be an issue. As you know the discs are ££ if they get chipped.

If you know the wheel bolt thread size & pitch, the rods are readily available on eBay etc for a few quid each.

Aston Martin use wheel nuts so when you remove the wheel you can slide off the stud you still need to be careful not to drop the wheel onto the ceramics.
