Since most places are currently shut, I've been walking to the local Shell garage to use the Costa Express for a vanilla latte which isn't too bad.

I'm getting slightly bored of it though. Is there anywhere else I can but a half decent coffee at the moment?

I'm probably going to order a Nespresso machine that will do me over the next few months while working from home. Not got round to ordering it though.

Dolce gusto coffee is the best IMO

I use a cafetiere anyway, but my usual coffee didn't turn up with the internet shop. Bizarrely the local garage Spar does Miles Cheerfully Columbian which I'd never heard of but is actually really good.

ETA if you want frothy milk put warmed milk in a clean cafetiere and plunge it up and down a few times. Just don't overfill it! biggrin

Excellent offer on Nespresso website currently. The Nespresso Vertuo machine (you have the choice several sizes of coffee from espresso, small coffee, normal mug size to literally a pint) which is usually £179 down to £79 + 100 Free Pods (worth about £60). So essentially you're paying £29 for £179 machine when you factor in the free 100 capsules.

Then purchase some vanilla syrup (Costa use Monin brand if I remember correctly). J

Working in a hospital has two advantages at the moment:
1. Job security.
2. Our Costa is still open for staff.

Disadvantages:
1. Work is monumentally stressful at the moment.
2. Everybody is scared stless.
3. I'm probably going to get Covid.

Amazon have the black one for £80 rather than £99 on the Nespresso website.

I am a long way from being the worst affected; that accolade goes to my anaesthetic and critical care colleagues who are working like absolute martyrs.

Your sentiments are very much appreciated all the same.

A tea / coffee merchant in Chesterfield had its front door smashed a couple of nights ago but no leaves or beans were liberated.

Police are saying they have no grounds to investigate further.

Going in a shop and using a touch screen to buy a coffee is just crazy behaviour at the moment.

Talk about non essential.

Totally agree, it's borderline insanity! It's similar to using the touch screen at my local supermarket when buying groceries. The amount of shameless charlatans that have been getting involved in this activity simply beggars belief.
