Does anyone know what the difference is between these two AM colors? I’ve seen listings for newer Astons with the HB suffix so I am wondering if there is some visible difference.

Hi Steve, I know from doing the V12V register that during the production run (2009-2013) there were a number of paint changes from non-HB to HB. It may have had something to do with changing to water based paints?
I do know that each has its own different paint code so there’s more than just a name change, the mix will be different somehow.
HTH
Edited to add, as far as I know there is no visible difference in shade of colour.

High-build (HB) coatings are coating materials formulated so that a single application can cover surfaces with relatively thick films that don’t sag or run. Typically, high-build film coating thickness, which ranges from 5 mils to about 30 mils, are thicker than those of common paints but thinner than coatings applied using trowels.

High-build coatings exhibit properties that enhance their surface protection capabilities.

High build coatings may also be known as ultra high build (UHB) coatings.

Now, ultra I like.

Ultra is the perfect word, for making something seem so much better.

I can recall noticing ultra, being sprinkled about in sentences, somewhere else.

Good idea, John.

You did really well getting £300,000 each for those V12 Vantages. I was impressed."
