These are part of the "Essential Services" that we are expected to respect and allow to jump the queue in supermarkets whilst we all wait outside. Sorry but you have lost any respect that had.

I think it's arguable that doing 80 on a freakishly clear road is hardly driving like a , in any case the point was about priorities.

Are you referring to a Speed Camera Van, if so, these are usually unmanned. If it is a manned car, then if there is more than 1 vehicle, I would hazard a guess that they are waiting for someone to pass, if it is just one vehicle, then it is likely that they are keeping an eye out for people that look like they might be completing unnecessary journeys, or just making sure that people arent deciding to speed due to the lack of traffic on the road.

We're not expected to. Some of us do it anyway. Who will you call when you want something policing? Will they be "essential" or not at that moment? Why are you saying sorry when you're anything but? Stop whining, FFS. Are you 11?

Police chopper drops it. Always look up when you hear a police chopper, can't be too careful.

I doubt they’re hunting speeding motorists... the average speed cameras do that on the A90.

Dry your eyes petal, did you take this picture? If so get a life. I doubt from that position they're in with any possibility of doing anything anyway. Probably just stretching their legs.

Double crewed car, so inches away from each other when in the vehicle anyway.

We are in a crisis for sure but the daily job of policing continues but with the added bonus of stting themselves that they might infect their families when they get home.

And they're let into supermarkets before you, and what? The supermarkets want to do it, they dont give a st about what some ranty snowflake on the internet thinks. I hope they buy the pack of toilet rolls you had your eye on

In this day and age:
1) There aren't sufficient police officers to place them in every single hamlet in the land
2) Police are often equipped with cars.

So, Police often park up somewhere that allows them to get to the various spots they may be required as quickly as practicable. Quite often, this is near a roundabout or on a flyover, to allow them to get to the main road asap.

I don't know the specifics but I would suggest this is why you saw them hanging out above the A90.
