Hi,

I need to lock down the kids iPad but seem to have a bit of an issue.

I want max screen time of 3 hours a day but for them also to be able to FaceTime their friends anytime during the day as well (unlimited time).

So I have all apps limited to 3 hours and FaceTime as an always allowed app.

My issue is they may have played 2 hours on an app, then an hour of FaceTime and then the iPad shuts down (other than FaceTime) as they have used 3 hours but I am happy for them to still have another hour on other apps (that FaceTime has consumed in the ‘all apps’).

How can I give them 3 hours of any combined apps without the FaceTime counting as time used?

(I hope I’ve explained this correctly).

Thanks.

Did you try ALWAYS ALLOWED in the screen time settings?

Edit- Just thinking about it - that isn't going to do what you want to achieve.
