Can't offer any advice, but sorry to hear of your bad luck...Apparently supermarkets are offering lots of temporary contracts till all this blows over.

yeah that fell on deaf ears...isnt it a condition that you go back to normal after the lockdown , mines saying job is done wont need me again .

You might be able to claim 'New Style' JSA:

"New Style JSA is a contribution based benefit. Normally, this means you may be able to get it if you’ve paid and/or been credited with enough National Insurance (NI) contributions in the 2 full tax years before the year you’re claiming in.

If you qualify, you can get New Style JSA for up to 182 days. After this your work coach will talk to you about your options

Your savings and capital (or your partner’s savings, capital and income) are not taken into account when claiming New Style JSA."

But, New Style JSA doesn't include any contribution towards your housing costs if you pay rent - for that you'll need Universal Credit as well/instead...
