Generic printer ink

We’ve got a Brother all in one affair model MFCJ349DW. can’t fault it.

But I loath to spend the 48euros they are asking for a pack of 4 inks (I’m in Austria). Does anyone here have any experience with generic inks? Are they any good, or will I be throwing good money, after bad?

Never had an issue with my Epson running ebay ink.

I think Amazon sellers do a subscription thing where you can save even more.

However, ebay is fine and about half price compared with Epson.
