About to do this as moving abroad with work

Anyone done it recently during this challenging time?

Wondering if they’re refusing to pick it up etc?

It's your consumer right to VT an agreement............it's not your fault if they can't pick it up..........

BMW Finance will VT but not collect the vehicle, so you stop making repayments, once they are to collect they will contact you to arrange it. They also said they would allow you to still use the car a reasonable amount (not sure what their idea of a reasonable amount is), because they assume you'll be unable to pickup your replacement car.

Is there any impact to credit rating doing this with BMW? Mine is due to finish in September and already over 50%, but with a baby on the way I need something more practical as soon as we are able to start car shopping again. I was planning on selling privately and settling the finance but in this environment it's going to be difficult.
