Need to remove my rear hub mounts to get the knuckles media blasted (after lockdown).

Can I do this as is, or do I need to remount wheels and lower the car on the ground to get some traction.

Brake system is disconnected.

Put a long bar between the studs and make sure its blocked onto the ground to stop the hub turning, you should then be able to turn the hub nut against the bar holding the hub through the studs. Hope ive explained that correctly

They'll be tight, the torque is 300Nm.

Why have you decided to remove the driveshafts from the knuckle??

When I've done these on cars, the answer has been a good impact gun, or putting the wheel on without the centre cap and lowering the weight of the car onto it then using a long breaker bar.

Levering something between the wheel studs and floor can risk bending the studs if it's proper tight.

I have had hub nuts so tight that with the full weight of that end of the car on it, I've skidded the tyre on dry concrete trying to turn it, and had to additionally wedge a block into the leading edge of the tyre for it to dig onto to keep the assembly still. That was an especially bad one though!

Just back in. Ended up putting the wheels on and lowering it onto the ground.

A long torque wrench with 36mm socket and lifting up against the weight of the car got them loosened.

Knuckles now off and will be heading off to Hunter Steel for vapour blasting.
