Bit stumped. Been for a drive, all seems well, cranks and runs perfectly.

Pulled into driveway.

Shutdown engine and remove key....

Igniton stays on with "warning battery voltage 9.5-10v" the voltage seems to slowly be dropping. Buzzer sounding.

I can take key out and it stays like that, alarm and buzzong, ignition is not off. Key in pocket...

Key back in, and I can see its reading 12.2V when on ignition position two, and fires up and is reading 13.4v.

Shutdown and remove key and back to buzz and 10v warning.

What is going on? If I remove instrument fuse it shuts up, but I'm worried something else is taking a drain. It's very weird.

At the moment im thinking, jack, wheel of, disconnect battery to stop any silliness, but can anyone suggest a root cause for my symptoms, anything I can do to sort this without removing battery? I'm stumped.

Its OK

Managed to get through to Jason@Str8six.

It's probably a relay contact back powering the instrument binnacle.

I'll have a look at the relay contacts and try and clean them up.

If this happens to anyonen else, just drop the fuse for the instrument (3rd from bottom right, 10a) and it'll stop it until you can find the relay to blame and fix it!

Thanks, Jason!
