Looking for recommendations please?

Treated myself to a lovely gas Weber last spring and would now like some decent utensils as the cheap supermarket set I have been using aren’t up for the job.

My favourite utensil for any cooking, bbq, frying etc, are some scissor tongs. Like these:

Much better control than the spring loaded type.

Also, I like a metal, solid fish slice for burgers and things. Any manufacture fine.

In the 90s we purchased a Viners BBQ set all in a very nice Ally case. It looks smart but takes up a chunk of space.

The brass wire brush has worn away, the steak knives are away in another home, the skewers are rubbish as things rotate. The basting brush has real bristles that burned. I regularly use the burger flipper and the tongues and the carving tools when I occasionally grill a rib of beef. But apart from that, the things that I regularly use are:-
Asbestos glove
PTFE sheets
A large cheap steel wire brush,
Apron
Silicone spatula
Silicone tongues
Silicone basting brush
Wooden skewers soaked in water

And that’s about it! I am frequently grilling fish and the big stuff is just too clumsy for anything delicate.

I think that the important bit goes-on in the kitchen, preparing and marinading stuff. Unless you are pulling pork and beef every time you eat, the actual cooking is the quick and easy part, that you can probably use the stuff in the kitchen, that you already own.

I have the weber 3 piece set, it's good quality and nice to use but it is a bit expensive.
Best to keep an eye out for a deal at the end of the summer.
