A friend has offered me his E46 M3 for what I think is a pretty good price but just wanted to get the thoughts of PH.

51 reg
110k
HPI clear
Carbon black
Coupe with sunroof
Manual
Cloth/alcantara? seats
Rod bearings done by Hack Engineering
Head gasket done 3yrs ago
Vanos & Timing chain just redone by Mr Vanos
Boot floor done
New diff 3k ago
HK sound system

It is modified with a few choice items but nothing drastic - BC coilovers, CW wheels, some jazzy short shifter, purple tag short steering rack & decatted.

£10k. I think that’s a pretty good price? Looking on ebay/AT there is about 5 manual coupes under that price.

Thoughts?

Get that bought!

That's a spot on spec, great colour, I much prefer alcantara, a sunroof yes please, vanos, bottom end an top end all been looked at recently, new diff, decent coilovers an good quality mods.

Realistically what could go wrong? Boot floor? I can't think of much else that hasn't already been addressed.

Plus it's good to buy from a mate who likes their cars, better than some random bloke who tells ya it's mint on the phone an it turns out to be a cat c mess

Coupe? Were they not only 1 bodystyle, the classic M3 2 door sedan?

This basically. Looks to have been sorted with all the relevant fixes and not even high mileage really.

Im envious, I really want one of these!

Fantastic price. Head gasket is a 2k+ job in itself, have a good nose for rust. If clear on that front its a 13k+ car.

Looks decent; just need to budget for a new BBS wheel badge for the drivers front wink

Great news OP - I hope you don't have to wait too long to get it. thumbup

BTW I've got a set of red BBS centre caps that I took off my CSL Reps as I preferred BMW ones. I'd be happy to let them go for just postage if anyone gets in touch!
