Not really. While not to dismiss radiation hazards, they are grossly exaggerated by the media and governments tend to follow a populist approach, rather than a scientific one. Goes to show that this danger is real here and will be for thousands of years.
It's telling that the photo showing the "elevated" radiation levels at the centre of the fire shows normal levels of background radiation.
A good example of this is the management of the Fukushima decommissioning site. There is 1 million tonnes of contaminated water held on site. This water is so lightly contaminated that if it was used as drinking/washing/cooking water for someone's entire life, they would not accumulate enough exposure over their entire lifetime to reach the lowest radiation dose which has ever been demonstrated to cause health effects. The contaminant, tritium, is present naturally in seawater - hence diluting it with seawater and pumping the diluted water offshore would be a perfectly sensible way to get rid of it (it would not even require much dilution to get it to drinking water standards). However, vocal pressure groups are demanding more expensive and hazardous methods of disposing it.
